Olympian PV Sindhu took to Twitter on Saturday, 4 November, to slam Indigo airlines over the rude behaviour of one of its staffers.

"Sorry to say ..i had a very bad experience when i was flying by 6E 608 flight, (sic)" she tweeted.

She was onboard a Mumbai-bound flight 6E 608, when a ground staff allegedly misbehaved with her. When the air hostess told the particular staffer to check his behaviour, he was rude to her as well, Sindhu claimed.

She later tweeted saying, "Please speak to Ms Ashima (the air hostess), she will explain it (the incident) to you in detail (sic).”

Responding to PV Sindhu's allegations, IndiGo tweeted: “Hi! We’d like to speak with you. Kindly confirm if we may contact you on your registered number with us and share”.

Quoting IndiGo, ANI reported, saying that the ace badminton player was carrying an oversized bag that wouldn't fit into the overhead bin.

Sindhu was informed that it will be moved to cargo hold of aircraft. This is the same policy we follow for all customers. The member of the IndiGo ground operations remained calm, After several requests they finally consented to the removal of the bag.

PV Ramana, Sindhu’s father told CNN News 18: “IndiGo’s response is all wrong. The way airline staffer behaved is unfortunate. Indigo is lying, the same kit is allowed on other flights also. I don’t know what they told their supervisor.”

He said that the family was upset about the male staffer’s behaviour not only towards them but also the air hostess. He also informed that Sindhu had asked the air hostess if she can post a tweet on the incident before doing so.
