MS Dhoni Is the Most Admired Sportsperson in India: YouGov Survey
The next sportsperson on the list is Sachin Tendulkar with a vote share of 6.8%.

Just when we were forced to believe that former Indian captain MS Dhoni is perhaps losing his sheen among cricket fans, a survey conducted by YouGov claims otherwise.
He may have faced the ire of fans who booed him after what was considered a dismal performance in the recently concluded ODI series against England but MS Dhoni remains the most popular Indian sportsperson currently, even ahead of Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar and current skipper Virat Kohli, according to the YouGov survey.
The website claims to have conducted the survey with a database of over 4 million people worldwide.
The survey was conducted by YouGov to form a definite list of the most admired people in the world. In fact, MS Dhoni bagged the second spot only behind Prime Minister Narendra Modi in India with an admiration score of 7.7% as opposed to the prime minister’s 11.9%.
Virat Kohli got 4.10% votes while Sachin Tendulkar got 6.8% votes.
Interestingly, MS Dhoni is also placed ahead of Bollywood superstars such as Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan and Akshay Kumar.
