Barcelona came to Liverpool’s Anfield with a 3 goal advantage, something the team must have thought would be enough to take them to the Champions League Final in Madrid. However, Jurgen Klopp’s side had different plans.

With their star strikers Mohammed Salah and Roberto Firminho on the sidelines due to injuries, the odds were stacked against the five-time Champions League winners. However, out-of-favour striker Divock Origi did more than justice to the striker position in the absence of the two Liverpool stalwarts, scoring twice to keep his side alive in the UCL.

As Jürgen Klopp said before the match, anything is possible in football, the Liverpool side made its second consecutive Champions League final.

Barcelona great Lionel Messi was also of no help in front of the flawless Liverpool defense.

Liverpool’s 4-0 victory, with two goals each from Georginio Wijnaldum and Divock Origi is being talked about as one of the great comebacks in football. Here’s how twitter reacted:

Mo Salah, who was spotted celebrating with his teammates after the final whistle, took to twitter to express his happiness.
