Rohit Sharma-led Team India beat Bangladesh by three wickets in a nail-biting final of the Asia Cup in Dubai on Friday. With this win, India clinched their record-breaking seventh Asia Cup title. The match, which went down to the wire, was decided in the very last ball of the tournament.

India’s death bowling expert Jasprit Bumrah, who has done well in the Asia Cup, picking up eight wickets in four matches with best figures of 3/37, had a off-day in the final against Bangladesh. He was hammered all around the park by Liton Das and Mehidy Hasan in his first spell.

But that didn’t stop Bumrah from taking a potshot at the Jaipur Police who had ridiculed him in one of their advertisement last year after the final of the Champions Trophy in England.

After the Asia Cup triumph, Bumrah made sure he had the last laugh when he took to Twitter to get back at Jaipur police. Bumrah wrote on Twitter: “Some people love to use their creativity on the sign boards. Hope this one fits there as well!! #Champions #AsiaCup2018 #lionalwaysroars,”

In the Champions Trophy final, Bumrah had bowled a no-ball, which gave Pakistani opening batsman Fakhar Zaman an extra life after he was dismissed early in his innings. Eventually Fakhar Zaman scored his maiden ODI century and Pakistan comprehensively won the match by a mammoth 180-run margin.

This led Jaipur police releasing an advertisement where Bumrah’s no-ball was displayed with a captaion, “Don’t cross the line, you know it can be costly”.
