Twitter Hails Delhi’s First-Ever Win in IPL Knockout Matches 

This is the first time that Delhi have won a knockout match in IPL.

In a thrilling contest, Delhi Capitals won the the Eliminator to knock Sunrisers Hyderabad out of the 12th edition of the Indian Premier League. But that wasn’t before the crucial game saw several ups and down, and even some controversial dismissals.

Sunrisers bowlers kept them in the hunt as they took wickets at regular intervals despite Prithvi Shaw and Rishabh Pant scoring big runs. Rashid Khan took two wickets to swing the game inn Hyderabad’s favour. Then again Delhi lost two wickets in the 19th over as they seemed to capitulate after getting so close to a win.

However, Keemo Paul kept a cool head and he hit the winning runs to take Delhi Capitals through to a win. This is the first time that Delhi have won a knockout match in IPL. They will now face Chennai Super Kings in the second qualifier on Friday, 10 May in Vizag with an eye to make their first-ever final.

Meanwhile, Twitter was buzzing with congratulatory messages as Delhi advanced through to the second qualifier. This is how they celebrated Delhi’s capital win against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
