Now that Sakshi Malik has opened India’s medal tally, with two major events the nation looks forward to another medal on day thirteen of the ongoing Rio games.

PV Sindhu will be facing world number three Nozomi Okuhara in the women’s singles badminton semifinals on Thursday. Sindhu has become India’s best medal hope after she defeated world number two Yihan Wang from China.

Indian wreslter and 2014 Commonwealth games gold medalist Babita Kumari will be starting her campaign in the Women’s Freestyle 53kg prequarters as she takes on Maria Prevolaraki from Greece.
