‘Dhoni Review System’: Watch Dhoni Ace Another Review vs Pakistan
Batsmen should start walking when MS Dhoni asks for a review, said a Twitter user.
Seven overs into the Super Four match between India and Pakistan in the Asia Cup on Sunday, 23 September, and the Indian bowlers were still looking for their first breakthrough. Yuzvendra Chahal was introduced into the attack in the eight over and on the final delivery, tossed the ball around middle and off. Imam-ul-Haq lunged forward to defend but his bat hit the pad first, and he was unable to meet the ball.
The Indian side appealed for an LBW but the umpire shook his head to signal ‘no wicket’. All MS Dhoni had to do was nod to captain Rohit Sharma, and India went for the review. After the video referral showed three reds in the hawk eye, the on-field umpire’s decision was overturned, and Pakistan were reduced to 24/1.
As the wicketkeeper-batsman nailed another DRS aka Decision Review System, Twitter vouched for the referral system to be renamed ‘Dhoni Review System’.
