Pakistan had a disappointing outing in their World Cup opener against West Indies as they were skittled out for their second-lowest score in World Cup ever.

A disciplined bowling performance from the West Indies bowlers saw Pakistan being bowled out for a mere 105 in 21.1 overs.

Skipper Jason Holder picked three wickets and youngster Oshane Thomas playing his first World Cup picked up four wickets to rattle the Pakistan batting line-up.

Only four batsmen managed to get into double figures with Fakhar Zaman and Babar Azam scoring 22 each. Pakistan skipper Sarfraz Ahmed scored just 8 from 12 balls.

Adding insult to injury, West Indies, courtesy a quickfire 50 from Chris Gayle and an unbeaten 34 from Nicholas Pooran, chased the score down in 13.4 overs.

Twitter had a field day mocking Sarfraz Ahmed and Co as they were embarrassed by the Windies side. Here’s what they said:

Two games have been played so far in the ICC Cricket World Cup which started on 30 May. England and West Indies have won their campaign openers, while South Africa and Pakistan have been at the receiving end of bad losses.

Pakistan next play Sri Lanka on 7 June in Bristol while West Indies will take on Australia in Nottingham on 10 June.
