As the match between India and New Zealand — the first semifinal of the ongoing ICC World Cup — got called off on Tuesday, 9 July, fans across the world were left disappointed.

New Zealand had made 211/5 in 46.1 overs when the rain first came down. Since then, repeated interruptions due to rain led the officials to call off the game, thereby pushing the match to the reserve day (10 July).
