South Africa's Dale Steyn was on Tuesday, 4 June, ruled out of ICC World Cup 2019 owing to a second shoulder injury that hasn't responded to treatment.

Beuran Hendricks, the left arm pacer has been named as a replacement after approval from the Event Technical committee for the injured Steyn for the remainder of the tournament.

Steyn was also ruled out of the India Premier League this year due to shoulder inflammation after being part of just two matches. His shoulder problem dates back to a surgery he had in 2016, which still manages to cost him full recovery.

This huge blow to the South African team got fans and followers reacting to the news all over social media.
