Samson Highest Paid Keeper, Gujarat Buy Karthik For Rs 2.3 Cr

The Gujarat Lions bought Karthik for Rs 2.3 crore. Samson emerged as the highest paid keeper in the IPL auctions.

India’s young gun Sanju Samson has been bought by Delhi Daredevils for Rs 4.2 crore. Samson emerged as the highest paid wicket-keeper in the 2016 IPL auctions.

The Kerala lad has been one of the rising stars in the last three IPLs. He has led Rajasthan Royals to many memorable victories. The 21-year-old has scored four fifties in his IPL career.

Samson will be playing for a new team for the first time in his IPL career.

The wicket-keeper batsman, Dinesh Karthik has been sold to the Gujarat Lions for Rs 2.3 crore in the 2016 IPL auctions. Karthik’s former team, the Royal Challengers Bangalore bid again for the Tamil Nadu lad but the Lions managed to outbid them.

Karthik is a fantastic keeper and can also bat at any position in the batting order. He first played for the Delhi Daredevils then moved to Kings XI Punjab in 2011. Then he had a suuceeful stint with Mumbai Indians for two years before being transferred to the Royal Challengers last year.

Karthik has taken 69 catches and effected 23 stumpings in his IPL career. He has scored nine fifties at an average of 23.47.
