History was made in the Indian Premier League on Sunday as the Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore set a new record in a game against the Gautam Gambhir-led Kolkata Knight Riders at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. However, the record was a highly embarrassing one — being bowled out for a meagre 49 runs, which is the lowest ever total in the IPL.

Chasing a target of 132 – which in itself is a low score going by T20 and IPL standards – set by the home team, the RCB powerhouse batting line-up found themselves in a damp squib situation, with the highest score was 9 by Kedar Jadhav.
