3. Lewis Hamilton Signs $180 Million Mercedes Deal

Formula One champion Lewis Hamilton has sealed his commitment to the Mercedes team after finally signing a new and lucrative three-year contract worth an estimated $180m (£90m).

The long awaited confirmation was announced on Twitter ahead of this weekend’s Monaco Grand Prix, putting an end to growing rumours that the two-time F1 champion from Britain might join Ferrari next season to form a formidable duo with four-time champion Sebastian Vettel, The Australian reported.

5. Mumbai FC Get Past East Bengal

Mumbai FC pulled off a crucial 2-1 victory over East Bengal in their I-League football match at the Cooperage ground in Mumbai.

Goals from seasoned medio Paresh Shivalkar, who scored off a free-kick, and Brazilian striker Josimar in the first half gave the home side, who were in danger of falling into the relegation zone, the lead.
