The 21st Commonwealth Games are officially underway and badminton ace PV Sindhu led the Indian contingent out for the Parade of Nations at the opening ceremony in Gold Coast.

India have sent a 220-strong contingent to the multi-nation event with Sindhu being one of the favourites to bag a gold medal after being seeded number one in the women’s singles event.

In fact, Sindhu, along with Saina Nehwal, Kidambi Srikanth and the rest of the Indian badminton team, kick off the team’s campaign on Thursday morning with the badminton team event against Sri Lanka.
