Submitting his name into the history books on Tuesday night, India’s gold medallist in the Rio Paralympics, Davendra Jhajharia distanced 62.15m in the men’s javelin throw F46 event, which is now a new world record. Eclipsing his previous record that he had set at the Athens Paralympics in 2004, Jhajharia’s gold medal confirmed India’s four medals so far in the Rio Games.
