The 35-year-old Mary Kom, a Olympic bronze-medallist, beat her North Korean opponent in a unanimous 5-0 decision in the semi-finals.
If the Indian boxer from Manipur wins on Saturday, 24 November, she will match Cuban boxer Felix Savon as the joint most successful (men and women) World Champion. With five golds, one silver and another medal assured, she has already become the most successful boxer in the women’s tournament.
