After the rude wake-up call of going unsold in the first round of the 2019 IPL auction in Jaipur, Yuvraj Singh has finally found a team for the upcoming season with Mumbai Indians picking him up for Rs 1 crore.
"If you are wondering why this took time...we've just got back to senses! Welcome to Mumbai," tweeted Mumbai Indians.
Yuvraj secured a last minute deal but his IPL fortunes have been declining rapidly. In 2015, he fetched a record Rs 16 crore deal with the Delhi franchise but was picked up by KXIP at his base of price of Rs 2 crore last season before the team released him in the transfer window last month.
Yuvraj’s fans took to Twitter to celebrate his Mumbai Indians recruitment.
