Twitter Celebrates Chennai’s Victory Over Delhi at the Kotla

Chennai Super Kings notched up their second straight victory of the season beating Delhi Capitals by six wickets

Chennai Super Kings notched up their second straight victory of the season as they beat Delhi by six wickets as they comfortably chased down 147 with two balls to spare in the final over of the match.

MS Dhoni was unbeaten on 32 off 35 balls as Dwayne Bravo hit the winning runs. Shane Watson scored 44 to give his team a good start. The innings was then given the solidity by Suresh Raina as he scored 30 off 16 balls. With back to back wins, CSK are now perched at the top of the points table.

Before coming up with a clinical performance with the bat, the CSK bowlers led by Dwayne Bravo restricted Delhi to 146 in their 20 overs. Bravo took 3 for 33 as Deepak Chahar, Ravindra Jadeja and Imran Tahir took a wicket each.

For Delhi, Shikhar Dhawan topped scored by scoring 51 runs. Prithvi Shaw looked good during his stay at the crease but threw away his wicket while trying to play a rash shot while on 24. Rishabh Pant, who blasted the Mumbai bowlers in the first game, fell cheaply this time around for 25.

After Pant’s dismissal Delhi lacked the firepower in the end overs and fell way short of where they would have wanted to finish.
