The entire tennis galaxy is descending on Delhi this weekend for the second edition of the IPTL and the fun has already begun.

While four teams took the court for the first round matches on Thursday, the tennis stars are keeping their fans hooked, away from the arena as well.

On Thursday, former world number one Ana Ivanovic gave the saree a shot. The Serbian even tweeted pictures of herself trying the outfit.

Earlier in the day, multiple Grand Slam Champ Rafael Nadal took time out to train with a few local kids at the DLTA. The world number five even handed out a few tips to the little fans.

I am no different than many kids. My motivation and passion to try to reach that dream was the key to our success. We worked hard with motivation. Kids can do it, if I did it. The only thing I can advise is that try to have right people around you, who know about the sport, who really support you and try to help you reach your best level, practise everyday with motivation and passion.

... and then in the evening it was time to switch to IPTL gear as the players kicked off the Delhi leg of the five-city tournament.

There as well, it was a Nadal masterclass as the ace played both men’s doubles as well as singles games to help Indian Aces win the match 30-12 against the Philippines Mavericks.

Nadal, the 14-time Grand Slam winner, combined with India’s Rohan Bopanna to win the men’s doubles before closing the contest with a reasonably comfortable win in the men’s singles over French opponent Edouard Roger-Vasselin, who is a doubles specialist.
