Whatever might be the reason behind Harsha Bhogle’s ouster from the commentary team, the fact that BCCI removed him in the last minute without any notice has steered this episode into a major controversy.
With every passing minute, support for Bhogle has increased on social media and owing to this, he released a Facebook Post on Monday thanking his supporters.
Ever since the news of Harsha Bhogle not being included in the commentary panel of the IPL Season 9 came out, social media has been abuzz with viewers, missing one of cricket’s most favourites voices.
Last Saturday, 9 April, cricket lovers woke up to the shock of Bhogle’s tweet, regarding his non-association with the multi-million dollar IPL.
It took just a few minutes after his tweet for social media to come up with multiple theories regarding BCCI’s non-inclusion of Bhogle in the commentary panel. Coupled with the trauma of listening to some horrible commentary by some other commentator in the panel, many started trolling the BCCI for their decision.
