The countdown for the 2016 Rio Olympics has already begun. The golf duo of Shiv Shankar Prasad Chawrasia and Anirban Lahiri look confident to perform as they prepare to bring laurels to the country.

I feel it’s an opportunity for me to give something back to the country. Not everyone gets a chance; I feel very lucky
Shiv Shankar Prasad Chawrasia, Golfer

Chawrasia expressed his views about the return of the elite sport, golf, in the olympics and believe his partner Anirban Lahiri is in a very fine form too:

Unlike any other events, it happens once every four years. That it (golf) returns to Olympics after 112 years makes it all the more special.

When asked about the fear of Zika virus which has already prompted many athletes and golfers from across the world to withdraw their names from Rio, Chawrasia had a different answer:

“I’ve heard of it but I’m just focused on my preparation. My priorities are clear.”
