After the Indian Olympic Association axed the Indian Football team from the Asian games contingent on Tuesday, there was public outrage on the official Facebook page of Indian Olympic Team.
To show their displeasure, Facebook users downrated their Facebook page with 1 star.
The Asian Games could have been a great opportunity for All India Football Federation to uplift India’s ranking on the world stage.
Despite of the lack of chances for its football team, India has still shown progress in the sport and have consistently maintained their ranking at 97th in the world.
IOA’s decision to rule out the Indian Football team from the Asian games has weighed heavily on many aspiring Indian footballers and fans.
