But the highlight of the evening at Saint Petersburg Stadium came after the match when a reporter asked Messi about the amulet that his grandmother had gifted him. The La Pulga responded by pointing at the amulet that was still tied to his foot.
Leo has been under a lot of pressure due to what several critics have called a lacklustre performance on his behalf in the world cup so far. Fulfilling the demands of 44 million fans appears to be weighing heavily on the Argentine.
