Yuvraj Singh may have bid farewell to the world of cricket with kind words, but his exchange on Twitter with a fellow cricketer could signal what the south-paw genuinely feels about the conditions around his exit from the much-famed sport.

Cricketer Rohit Sharma, in his farewell tweet for Singh, had expressed his discontent over the 2011 world cup hero’s exit from the game and had said “you deserved a better send off”.

Replying to the tweet, Yuvraj said “you know how I feel inside! Love u brothaman you go be a legend.”

Rohit and Yuvraj share a strong bond outside the pitch. Other than having played numerous matches for the Indian Team, both played for Mumbai Indians, the winning team of The Indian Premier League this season.

At the media interaction on Monday, Yuvraj had suggested that he wasn’t entirely pleased with how the final phase of his career was handled and his reply to Rohit’s tweet could be hint on similar lines.

‘Didn’t Tell Anyone in BCCI That I Want a Farewell Game’: Yuvraj

During the announcement, the 37-year-old told the media that he did not ask BCCI for a farewell game.

“I didn’t tell anyone in BCCI that I want a farewell game,” Yuvraj said. “If I had the potential, I would have left from the ground. I didn’t need a match. I was told that if I failed a Yo-Yo test then I can play a retirement match. I told them I don’t need the game, if I don’t pass the Yo-Yo test, I’ll go home quietly. I passed the Yo-Yo Test and rest is not my call.”

Yuvraj said he was offered a farewell game if he failed the Yo-Yo test in December 2017. He did manage to pass the test but was never called back into the team.

He made the announcement in a press conference in Mumbai, saying: "It's was great roller coaster ride and beautiful story but it has to come to an end. It was the right time to go."
