Cheteshwar Pujara's double hundred and Wriddhiman Saha century put India in complete command with an imposing total of 603 for 9 against Australia on day four of the Ranchi Test.
Pujara and Saha’s partnership was been celebrated by everyone, but Jadeja also played an important role in taking the lead past 150. Coming in to bat at number nine, Jadeja not only scored runs for his team, he managed to score his half-century in quick time.
After completing his half-century, Jadeja celebrated his feat with his trade-mark sword celebration.
With a substantial lead of 152 in their kitty, Indian bowlers then went all out as Australia were tottering at 23 for 2 when stumps were drawn.
Ravindra Jadeja (2/6) got a couple of deliveries to land on the rough and breach through the defences of David Warner (14) and Nathan Lyon (2).
Jadeja (54, 55 balls) used the long handle to good effect and stretched the lead to over 150 with the Australian bowlers finding little assistance from the surface.
