Virat Kohli is a man of many emotions, witnessed by his intense outbursts on the cricket pitch. There is however a softer side to the captain of Team India, the one often witnessed when he talks about his girlfriend Anushka Sharma.

In a candid interview with Star Sports, Kohli talked about how Anushka Sharma was there during the biggest moments of his professional career, making her a very lucky presence in his life.

Kohli opened up the moment he was announced as the captain of the test team.

When they hung up the phone, and I told her (Anushka), it was like a flashback from the time I started playing in my academy, till the Mohali game, and I was emotional and I was in tears.

Kohli added that he couldn’t completely process the decision, because he never thought that the day would come.

The fact that I was able to share the moment with her, made it even more magical, and it is something I will always remember.
