From unjust arrests, to being shot at! It's not been a great weekend for journalists. Hello, you're tuned in to The Big Story.

Over the last 48 hours, few unrelated incidents got reported, all of which had to do with attacks on journalists – literal and otherwise. In this podcast, we'll talk about these incidents.

The first is the purportedly illegal arrest of freelance journalist Prashant Kanojia. He was arrested over a Facebook post that allegedly tried to “malign” Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath.

The head and the editor of a Noida-based private news channel, Nation Live, were also held over the same video that got Kanojia arrested – seemingly because they allowed the video to be aired on their channel.

And, in an unrelated incident, bike-borne assailants fired at a vehicle carrying a reporting team of the news channel ABP News, who were travelling towards the murder site of a trader in Delhi's Prasadnagar.
