The Hockey World Cup kicked off on 27 November with a grand opening event at Bhubaneswar, Odisha. Shah Rukh Khan joined the Chief Minister of Odisha Naveen Patnaik at the opening ceremony and shook hands with the captains of the various participating teams. During his speech, he recreated the lines from his iconic ‘sattar minute’ dialogue from 2007 film Chak De! India, in which he played Kabir Khan, a former hockey captain who coaches the Indian national women’s hockey team to victory.
