When it comes to seasons, India is blessed with gifts from both ends of the spectrum. In summer, Indians enjoy the luxury of tropical fruits, and in winter there is mesmerising icy-white snow.

One moment the mountains were grey and the soil was brown, and then the snow-bearing clouds descended. Soon enough, the hill areas of Kashmir, Uttarakhand, and Himachal Pradesh were all under a blanket of snow.
