Pics: First Look of Kangana & Rajkummar’s ‘Mental Hai Kya’ Avatars

While the details of Kangana Ranaut and Rajkummar Rao’s upcoming film Mental Hai Kya have largely been kept under wraps, the actors were recently spotted by the paps on set in costume. Kangana had a wig on with a high ponytail and was dressed in a red kurta and beige dhoti pants with huge golden star-shaped earrings and matching boots. Rajkummar wore a black shirt and trousers with a waistcoat.

The actors will reportedly play neighbours who get on each other’s nerves and try to one up each other. Kangana’s suspicious and intrusive behaviour will reportedly create some troubles for Rajkummar in Mental Hai Kya. Speaking about their roles, director Prakash Kovelamudi said, “Kangana and Rajkummar are quarrelling neighbours, pitted against each other in the film. Kangana’s character is suspicious of the world around her and she is constantly inquisitive about her neighbour’s life. Their bickering banter unfolds in an interesting way on the big screen and I am excited to showcase them in this light.”

An earlier motion poster of the film showed the two actors in a room that had caught fire. “One mystery, two suspects,” it said.

Mental Hai Kya has been produced by Ekta Kapoor and Shaailesh R Singh. It hits theatres on 26 July.
