3,69,565 crores. That’s the amount India paid to China last year, for all the products we brought in. That includes products from our daily needs to heavy equipments and power machinery. Recently, there’s an increased clamour to ban China manufactured goods in ‘national interest’, of course.

But how easy or difficult would it be to do so in reality? Here’s a lowdown of how we are virtually, a country ‘Made in China’.

China is present in virtually every part of the country, and their products are often preferred for lower costs. Also, with modern trade agreements, it is very difficult to put a blanket ban on imports from them.
