White House Under Lockdown After Unattended Package Found

The White House was placed under lockdown on Tuesday after a suspicious package was discovered near the North Fence of the complex.

"Secret Service and DC Police Department responding to an unattended package near the North Fence of the White House Complex," the US Secret Service said in a tweet.

Media reports suggested that US President Donald Trump had left the White House earlier in the day to attend a rally in Arizona.

Later, US Secret Service and DC Police Department cleared the unattended package near the north fence.
