Usha Uthup, who is an avid supporter of Mother Teresa and the Missionaries of Charity, has been invited to the Vatican to sing for Mother Teresa’s canonisation ceremony.

On 4 September, a day before her 19th death anniversary, she will be canonised by Pope Francis at the Vatican. Uthup will sing two songs in her honour, one in Bangla the other in English.

Here is the song that Uthup has composed for Mother Teresa.

I have shared a 47-year long association with Mother Teresa. I first met her during a visit to a homoeopath named Sr Amy. I was so impressed by her personality. She may have had a diminutive frame but the strength, force, passion and dignity within her was immense. And what a robust sense of humour. She would walk so fast I had a hard time keeping pace with her.
