Shalabh Kumar, an Indian-American businessman who emerged as the biggest individual donor to Donald Trump’s presidential campaign, denied that the US has issued a new H1B visa policy.

Speaking exclusively to The Quint, he called reports of the new policy “propaganda”.

There’s no new H1B visa policy, that’s propaganda. There are multiple bills that have been proposed.

He added that Indians hoping to work in the US should not be perturbed:

In fact, one of the strongest bills has been proposed by a very strong Republican that doubles the number of H1 visas and reduces the wait time for an H1 visa holder to get a green card.
