Why Shakira Might Not Let Gerard Pique Go to Messi’s Wedding

Messi’s wife-to-be is allegedly unhappy with how Pique broke up with Nuria Tomas, a close friend of hers.

On the field and off it, Barcelona players Gerard Pique and Lionel Messi are the best of friends. Their significant others however, don’t share the same kind of love.

Antonella Roccuzzo, Messi’s wife-to-be, didn’t invite Pique and his girlfriend Shakira for their wedding on 30 June, leading many to wonder exactly what happened?

According to reports, there is friction between both parties, due to the manner in which Pique ended his relationship with Nuria Tomas, a close friend of Roccuzzo.

According to the Daily Mail, Roccuzzo holds a grudge against Pique over how he ended his relationship with her close friend, Nuria Tomas. She wasn’t pleased with the way he started his relationship with his current girlfriend Shakira, either.

The Colombian pop-star has however put most of those rumours to rest. She told Spanish news site, Marca:

I don’t know where that has come from, I don’t understand it at all because everyone has often seen us together. 

She, however, did not confirm whether they would be able to attend the wedding, saying “If we can go to their wedding, we will go, because Gerard and Leo have been friends since they were very young.”
