A fashion show in Saudi Arabia seems to have taken the fashion world by a storm. In a clip that is being widely shared and circulated on social media, drone models seem to have replace human models on the runway, as reported by CNN.
A twitter user, by the name of Jina posted a video of a fashion show, according to her post, female models weren’t allowed , hence the designs were showcased using drone machines.
The post has been retweeted 110,322 times and has 189,940 likes.
Saudi Arabia which is known for its strict rules and customs, broke barriers when the country announced its first ever fashion show in April, but was only showcased to a female audience.
Even though the idea seemed ‘out of the box’ to many, it didn’t go down well with many fashion organisers.
In 2017, Saudi Arabia, which used to be the only country in the world where women were not allowed to drive, announced in a royal decree that women would be allowed to drive. The change is to be effective from June 2018.
