Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on Monday, 21 March, that the country 'cannot fulfil Russian ultimatums' to end the war, reported AFP.
Earlier, he called on European leaders to cease all trade with Russia in an effort to pressure Moscow to halt its nearly month-long military assault on Ukraine, as per AFP.
Meanwhile, Russia opened fire at protesters in occupied Kherson on Monday with several injured, reported Kherson's media outlet Most. Russian troops threw stun grenades at unarmed protesters in the centre of occupied Kherson.

Mortal Remains of Naveen Arrive in Bengaluru
Mortal remains of Naveen Shekharappa Gyangoudar, the MBBS student who was killed in a shelling attack in Ukraine️ on 1 March, arrived in Bengaluru in the early hours of Monday.
Calling Naveen's demise unfortunate, Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai paid his last respects to the MBBS student and thanked the Central government for their efforts on bringing back the mortal remains of Naveen Shekharappa Gyangoudar.
Naveen's father, Shankarappa, said that they will perform the rituals as per their tradition and will donate his body to Davangere's SS Hospital, ANI reported.
Later on Monday, Naveen's family paid their last tribute at his native place in Karnataka's Haveri.

Ammonia Leak at Chemicals Plant in Sumy
Sumy governor Dmytro Zhyvytskyy informed on Monday that there is an ammonia leak at a chemicals plant in the besieged Ukrainian city of Sumy.
Though Zhyvytskyy did not say what had caused the leak at the Sumykhimprom plant, he said the area within a five-kilometre radius around the plant was hazardous, Reuters reported.
New Zealand To Provide Ukraine With Funds and Non-lethal Military Assistance
New Zealand has said that it will provide Ukraine with a further 5 million dollars ($3.46m) in funds and non-lethal military assistance.
Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern said the money would be primarily directed to a NATO Trust Fund that provides fuel, rations, communication equipment and first aid kits to support Ukraine, Al Jazeera reported.
She was quoted as saying, “We consider what is happening in Ukraine as a massive disruption to the international rules-based order and because of that it impacts all of us and that’s why we have taken these extraordinary measures."

Russian and Ukrainian negotiators will continue their online talks on Monday, according to the Ukrainska Pravda.
Two Villages Within Contaminated Area by the Ammonia Leak
Dmytro Zhyvytskyy, the governor of Sumy, has said that the villages of Novoselytsya and Verkhnya Syrovatka are within the area contaminated by the ammonia leak at the Sumykhimprom chemicals plant.
He said people within the affected area are recommended to take immediate shelter underground and if ammonia is detected, to breathe through gauze bandages soaked in citric acid.

Ukraine’s emergency services have said that at least four people died in the fire in Kyiv’s Podilskyi district. One person was wounded, it said.
The blaze was caused by “enemy shelling,” it said on Facebook.

Spanish Migration Minister Jose Luis Escriva said on Monday that around 25,000 Ukrainians had arrived in Spain since Russia's invasion of Ukraine began, but only 9,000 of them have been registered with authorities so far.
Many Ukrainians are staying with friends or relatives, and hence have not yet been notified by authorities, Escriva added.

We expect inflation in India to moderate. I don't see a situation in India where inflation keeps on skipping the band we have set."
