Princess Diana’s troubled life with Prince Charles is a topic that will always garner interest, even twenty years after her death.
While many know about her unhappy life with Prince Charles after his affair with Camilia Parker, what many do not know are the lengths she went to in order to get her husband’s attention, even before the affair.
This revelation is attributed to the republication of Andrew Morton’s book Diana: Her True Story for which Diana had recorded her thoughts and side of the story in tapes. Although Diana had insisted that her involvement in the process be kept a secret, the book is now being republished with transcripts of the tapes.
In the third extract of the tapes accessed by the Daily Mail, Diana says:
When she told Charles that she was desperate, he said, “You are always doing this to me,” and walked out on her to go riding.
Upon throwing herself down the stairs, Diana realised that she might not lose her baby, even though she was quite bruised around her stomach.
The tapes also reveal Diana’s struggle with bulima, insomina, her distance from Charles and several other controversies that had marred her life.
