On 14 July, people gathered in the streets of the French Riviera town of Nice to celebrate Bastille Day, when a truck drove straight into the crowd killing at least 80 people. The world woke up to this sad news and prayers for the departed souls started pouring in on social media. Bollywood as well as international celebrities took to Twitter and Instagram to share their heartbreak and sympathies in the wake of this deadly attack on France.

Pop star Rihanna, who was actually in Nice during the attack, was scheduled to perform on 15 July. Fortunately, the singer’s representative has confirmed to Billboard that she’s safe. Christian Estrosi, the current mayor of Nice, tweeted that the concert has been canceled, along with several other events in the city.
