“We didn’t tarnish your reputation because it’s already garbage” is what New York Times had to say to Donald Trump’s allegations of libel on the publication.

On 13 October, the publication ran a piece about two women who came forward to say they had been sexually assaulted by the Republican nominee. Trump went on the defensive saying it was a false report and he threatened to sue NYT, who just said “bring it” in their response to him.

When asked for an apology, a brutal reply given which said, “We welcome the opportunity to have a court set him straight.”

Twitter also took notice and grabbed the popcorn and gifs.

The lawyer of NYT has become the hero everybody needed.
