Ivanka’s Children Woo Xi Jinping With Their Command of Mandarin

Donald Trump seemed to have broken the ice with China with the help of his grandchildren.
In the official meeting with the Chinese President, Ivanka Trump's children, Arabelle and Joseph, serenaded Xi Jinping and his wife Madame Peng Liyuan with a Chinese song ‘Mo Li Hua’ ( Jasmine Flower). Arabelle also recited the Three Character Classic to show her command in Mandarin.
Although Trump and China had an icy start right after his induction into the White House, when he said that US was not necessarily bound by the "One China" policy, which prompted a diplomatic protest from China.
This is not the first time that Ivanka has rescued Trump in China-related matters. Although Trump’s views towards China may seem harsh, Ivanka, through her children, advertises their affinity for the country.
After the White House failed to send the customary Lunar New Year greeting to Beijing in February, Ivanka and Arabelle paid a visit to the Chinese embassy in Washington, to celebrate the Year of the Rooster.
Ivanka is also quite popular in China, without the help of her father. In February, Xinhua tweeted a photo, comparing Ivanka to Li Bingbing, a popular actress in China.
