As several towns in French imposed a ban on burkini, many people were angry about it. But the controversy intensified when images of armed French policemen forcing a woman to take off her burkini went viral on Tuesday.

A burkini is a swimwear that covers the whole body except the face. Any woman who is found wearing a simple head scarf and leggings on the beach will be fined 11 Euros.

On Tuesday, some pictures came out of armed policeman forcing a woman to take off her burkini as she was just sitting on the beach with her family. She was accused of not wearing an outfit “respecting good morals and secularism”.

The burkini ban has already created a public outrage after Muslim women refused to accept that burkini is oppressive, as believed by the authorities.

Global Outrage on Twitter

People took to Twitter to say that the act of policemen was the real oppression.
