US President Donald Trump has maintained that most media organisations are “fake news”, the worst of them being CNN, MSNBC, New York Times, ABC and Buzzfeed. He has always been fond of Fox News and has had a long-standing relationship with the channel’s Bill O’ Riley.

Ironically, it was Fox News who broke the news that Trump was fully in the know about the conversations that his ousted NSA Michael Flynn had with the Russian Ambassador, Sergei Kislyak.

Flynn claimed to not remember what he spoke to the Russian Ambassador about, and also said that he didn’t talk about US sanctions.

But when the White House Counsel’s Office was investigating him, he had full recollection of his conversations.

During the press conference, while justifying Flynn’s resignation, Trump said that some information which was classified was given out – to Russia – but he did not find that problematic. He found the information getting to the media the real problem.

After this exposé by Fox News, it’s hard to know where Trump will get his daily news updates from, after denouncing the entirety of the media to be fake.
