“I know a lot about hacking. It could be anybody else.”
This what US-President elect Donald Trump said to reporters on Sunday night, countering the US intelligence agencies’ view that Russia is behind the hacking of the US presidential election.
This is not the first time Trump has raised doubts about Russia’s involvement.
On Friday, Trump responded to a slew of US election-related sanctions against Russia with a call for the country to “move on” and a conciliatory pledge to meet the US spy chiefs he has harshly criticised.
