US President Donald Trump gave another reason to netizens to launch a fresh attack of memes and tweets against him on Thursday, 13 June after he referred to Prince Charles, the Prince of Wales as the Prince of ‘Whales’ in his tweet.

He was referring to having met Prince Charles at the World War II commemorations in Britain that were held last week.

While auto-correct can definitely be blamed for the typo, Trump, who has 61 million followers on Twitter, later edited the original tweet.

Donald Trump tweeted that he recently met “Prince of Whales.”

But the creative lot on Twitter had already gotten to work by then.

Donald Trump plunged into his long-delayed state visit to Britain on Monday, 3 June, welcomed with smiles and a cannon salute by the royals but launching political insults at others in a time of turmoil for both nations in the deep, if recently strained, alliance.

Trump had lunch with Queen Elizabeth and tea with Prince Charles before a grand state dinner at Buckingham Palace.

The queen used her toast to emphasise the importance of international institutions created by Britain, the United States and other allies after World War II, a subtle rebuttal to Trump, who is a critic of NATO and the UN.
