Police Say “Shooting” Reports in LA Airport Were “Loud Noises”

LA police said they were searching the airport and taking all precautions to ensure the public’s safety.

Reports of an “active shooter” in Los Angeles’ international airport, on late Sunday created chaos and panic among passengers.

Less than an hour after the airport police launched an investigation on the unconfirmed shootings, it said that the shootings were proven to be “loud noises”.

Passengers were evacuated from the airport and its gates were shut.

The police said they were searching the airport and that all precautions were being taken to ensure the public’s safety, on Twitter. “Remain calm,” the post said.

Los Angeles police could not be reached immediately for comment.

Some people from the airport put up videos and photos of other anxious passengers during the event.
