Over the past 24 hours, reports of Yoga guru Baba Ramdev, travelling to London for his knee surgery went viral. News of the guru, who has reportedly cured several people with his Yoga techniques, travelling to London for his own knee surgery, surprised many. The news also became the butt of jokes on social media.

The Patanjali Yogpeeth, Baba Ramdev’s Yoga Institute, however, refuted the rumours and clarified that Ramdev was fit and fine. It added that he is currently in Haridwar for a Yoga camp, reported The Statesman.

The 5-day camp for participants from Nepal, reportedly started on 1 May. The Yogpeeth denied reports about Ramdev’s knee surgery.

Truth is basis of Indian lifestyle and circulating such baseless information is not recommended. Irresponsible people are involved in such acts. Baba Ramdev is fit.
SK Tijarawala, Spokesperson, Patanjali Yogpeeth, as quoted by The Statesman

Ramdev will reportedly be in Haridwar till 5 May.
