Video From Lucknow Shared as Pak Doctors Supporting WB Protests
The video is not from Pakistan, but from the King George’s Medical University in Uttar Pradesh’s Lucknow.
CLAIM
A video, uploaded by one YDA Pakistan on Facebook, shows several doctors walking in double file, in an apparent protest, raising slogans of 'We Want Justice'.
The description shared along with the video claims that it is of doctors in Pakistan marching in support of Indian doctors who are up in arms over security concerns, after two interns were attacked at the NRS Medical College in Kolkata by a deceased patient's family members on Monday, 11 June.
The description reads:
Pakistani young doctors fully support the stance of young doctors of India and extend full and every type of support in all circumstances.
Young doctors of Pakistan strongly condemns the irresponsible attitude and statement of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee .
Policemen have to to fight criminals and that's why they have to face armed goons.
But doctors have to save lives and they are not on duty against armed goons.
It,s duty of the state to provide fool proof security and conducive environment for young doctors working all the day long (sic).

The video is not from Pakistan as claimed by the page, but is from the King George’s Medical University in Uttar Pradesh's Lucknow.

The same page, YDA Pakistan, has also shared a video of doctors carrying banners which read "King George Medical University UP, Lucknow".

The Quint then reached out to the Resident Doctors’ Association at KGMU, who confirmed that the video was indeed from their campus, and did not show doctors in Pakistan, as claimed.
Speaking to The Quint, Dr Jitendra Saroj, a member of the association, said:
DOCTORS ACROSS THE COUNTRY UP IN ARMS
Not just Lucknow, doctors in major cities across the country – Delhi, Mumbai and Hyderabad – on Friday, protested and boycotted work in a show of solidarity with their protesting colleagues in Kolkata.
Meanwhile, health ministry sources have said that over 170 doctors have resigned across West Bengal, even as Union Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan met with members of AIIMS Resident Doctors’ Association. Vardhan has reportedly assured the doctors that he will look into their demands.
