(More archives of similar such claims can be found here, here, and here.)

Is this claim true?: The viral clip was generated using Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools by an Instagram handle named '@bharathfx1' for "entertainment purposes". It does not show real visuals.

How did we find that out?: Using the help of Google Lens, we conducted a reverse image search on the keyframes of the viral clip and found the same visuals shared on an Instagram account named 'nagpur.updates'.

  • It was uploaded on 31 March. Its caption credited a different Instagram handle named '@bharathfx1' for the visuals.

  • Team WebQoof went through the aforementioned Instagram handle and found that the visuals were shared on 27 March.

  • Its caption mentioned, "The images/videos shown in this reel are purely AI generated, our intentions are not to hurt or harm anyone. This is just for entertainment purpose."

  • This clearly indicated that the video was AI-generated and did not show real visuals.

  • On scanning through the handle, we found that it regularly shares AI-generated content.

What did detection tools show?: We passed the video through an AI detection tool named 'Hive Moderation', which showed over 99 percent probability of the video being an AI-generated one.
