CLAIM:
A photo showing street children cooking and eating food near the Statue of Unity in Gujarat is doing the rounds on social media. The Statue of Unity, which is a monument dedicated to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, is set to be inaugurated on 31 October.

The photo of a woman and two children sitting eating on a road has been superimposed onto a photo of the Statue of Unity.
The superimposed photo was clicked by Reuters journalist Amit Dave in 2010 in Ahmedabad.
The original photo shows the trio sitting on a footpath, with the woman cooking as the children eat.
The Statue of Unity, completed in a time frame of 33 months, is set to be the world’s tallest statue. Situated near the Narmada dam in Gujarat, it will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 31 October.
